WYNRS Worldcup 2015

Thursday the 3rd. December 2015 the 2003 Team from the South Korean Junior Football Assosiation arrived in Auckland.

After WYNRS visited them earlier this year for their Tournament, they're here now to play football in Auckland.

After a short visit to Cornwall Park and one Tree Hill. A training Session with the WYNRS 2003 team followed to prepare for the Tournament starting Friday.

In the evening the Korean boys went home with the WYNRS players to their houses and stayed there as homestays.

The morning after all Teams met at Wetlake Boys High School To play the first games of the tournament.

Tha participating teams besides WYNRS were: "Murrys Bay Intermediate", "Waiheke Utd" and the South Korean Team.

After intense round-robin group games, WYNRS played against Waiheke Utd in the game for 3rd place and Murrays Bay played against the South Korean team in the final on Sunday.

The South Koreans dominated the game and won 4-0.

Prizgiving was held after the final game, Prizes include: a winners trophy, a Fair Play award, the Golden Boot award, the Golden Glove award and an MVP award.

Golden Boot  winner from the South Koerean Team- scored 8 goals within the whole tournament.

Before the Koreans fly back on Wednesday night, they will head over to Waiheke Island and spent two nights with the homestays on the Island.

On this point, thanks to all the families that made the Tournament a huge success and the visit of the South Koreans possible.
